After passing through this area, it’s on to the Sonoma County countryside for a few miles before looping back through the Greenway and finishing at Juilliard Park. The course is designed to be flat and fast the majority of the way, with a couple places that have minor rolling hills.

Throughout the entire course of this Sonoma County marathon, you will be surrounded by picturesque scenery that never lets you forget you’re in the heart of wine country. Aside from the creek, there are three rustic trestle bridges to cross over, an abundance of wildlife to see, majestic oak trees dotting the pathways, and several breathtaking wineries and vineyards. At mile 10, runners will actually run through one of the wine barrel and fermenting rooms at DeLoach Vineyards.
